To provide prevention, treatment, learning support and youth development services that reduce the impact of alcohol and other drug abuse on our youth, families, schools and communities.
Wolfe Center is the only service provider of adolescent drug and alcohol use and abuse prevention, intervention and treatment services in Napa County.
Wolfe Center serves approximately 1000 adolescents ages 12 to 18 and their families annually.
Loyd Wolfe worked as a parole officer for the California Youth Authority where he became increasingly concerned that locking kids up did little to change their behavior. In 1993 he took early retirement and, with a group of other concerned individuals, formed the Loyd Wolfe Juvenile Justice Network to help young people with their problems. Unfortunately, Loyd passed away before his dream was realized. The network he formed collaborated with the Napa County Health and Human Services Agency to open Wolfe Center in 2004.
